    Here’s a pretty cool animation we did that shows how the Featherlite lift gates work.

    Featherlite’s rear lift gates create an extended display area or serve to position items, such as race cars, to the upper storage area. The Featherlite lift gate is unique in the industry with its patented back up drive system that assures operation even if there is a power loss.

    With the start of the NASCAR season kicking off this weekend in Daytona, we thought we’d share a photo from the Featherlite archives. It’s of the 100th race car hauler Featherlite built back in 1995 for A.J. Foyt. Several proud Featherlite employees posed for the photo that day.

    We sometimes like to think that Featherlite is in the ‘wow’ business. Whether it’s one of our horse trailers that’s outfitted with a striking living quarters or one of our 53 foot NASCAR race car haulers or an event marketing trailer, we want people to say ‘wow’. We want people to have that great first impression. And when we’re building trailers for our business clients, that’s especially important. We want to do everything possible to give you the highest level of engagement with your customers.

    Car Hauler for Automotive Street StyleOne way to do that is through exterior graphics or paint. We have a unique relationship with Featherlite Graphics so the process is seamless. Our Specialty Sales Managers will work closely with you and the graphics team to come up with a design in house, or we can work with a design you select from an outside source.

    Basically you’ll be choosing between paint or graphics. With paint, you choose from various colors or designs like stripes or other shapes. With graphics, we use a full or partial vinyl wrap that uses vinyl decals or photographic images printed on vinyl.

Not only do you make an impact and get impressions at the event, but it’s with you in between events too, spreading your message on the road. Overall, exterior graphics grab attention and draw people to your display or trailer. They also provide a lasting advertising or branding message. You can also target the message and change it out if you so desire.

    Here is a recent press release we thought we’d share about Featherlite being the race transporter provider of many racing series champions in 2011. We’re pretty proud to be the choice of champions!

    CRESCO, Iowa/December 16, 2011—Upon the completion of the 2011 race season, Featherlite was proud to be the trailer of choice for many racing series champions, including:

    Featherlite, a leading manufacturer of aluminum trailers, designs and builds specialized 53-foot race car transporters as well as car, recreational, horse, livestock and other specialty trailers. They also supply office, vending, event marketing, hospitality and other custom trailers for race officials, teams and sponsors.

    Featherlite is the ‘official trailer’ of NASCAR, IZOD IndyCar Series, Grand American Road Racing and ARCA. As part of its NASCAR partnership, Featherlite serves as the sponsor of the Most Improved Driver Award, which honors drivers who improve the most finishing positions from the previous race. In 2011, over 80 drivers were awarded the weekly awards with a driver from the Nationwide Series, Camping World Truck Series and four regional touring series receiving the year-end award.
